CSBG Director & Grants Coordinator (0.50 -1.0 FTE) Four Square Community Services
Position Summary
Four Square Community Services is seeking a part-time Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Director & Grants Coordinator (0.50 – 1.0 FTE) to provide leadership for CSBG program planning, implementation, compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement, while coordinating grant development and post-award management for agency programs. This role ensures services are delivered in alignment with CSBG organizational standards and all applicable federal, state, and funder requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· CSBG Program Leadership: Lead CSBG-funded program planning, service delivery oversight, and continuous improvement activities; support alignment with the Community Action framework.
· Compliance & Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate CSBG reporting (as required by funders), documentation, client eligibility records (as applicable), and compliance with policies, procedures, and grant conditions.
· Budget & Fiscal Coordination: Coordinate with finance staff to develop and monitor CSBG and grant budgets; track allowable costs, match/leverage (if applicable), and support audit/monitoring readiness.
· Data & Outcomes: Maintain performance measurement and outcomes tracking; analyze data to inform program decisions and report impact.
· Case Management System Oversight: Oversee case management software data entry and data quality; establish documentation standards, support staff training, and run basic reports to ensure accurate, timely, and complete client/service records (as applicable).
· Grant Development: Identify funding opportunities aligned with agency priorities; coordinate proposal calendars, required attachments, and internal reviews; draft and compile narrative, forms, and supporting documents.
· Post-Award Grant Management: Monitor deliverables, reporting deadlines, and compliance requirements; maintain grant files; coordinate renewals and amendments.
· Partnerships & Community Engagement: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders; represent the agency in meetings as needed.
· Policies & Procedures: Support development and maintenance of program/grant policies, internal controls, and documentation standards.
· Staff Support: Provide guidance and training to relevant staff on grant requirements, documentation, and outcome reporting.
· Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support agency mission and operations.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social work, nonprofit management, business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
· Experience administering grants and/or managing programs in a nonprofit, government, or community-based setting.
· Strong knowledge of grant compliance, reporting, documentation, and outcome measurement.
· Demonstrated ability to write clear, persuasive grant narratives and compile required proposal materials.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database/reporting systems.
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively across teams and partners.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with CSBG requirements, Community Action Agency standards, ROMA (Results Oriented Management and Accountability), or similar performance frameworks.
· Experience with federal and/or state grants and monitoring processes.
· Knowledge of services for low-income individuals and families and local resource networks.
Work Schedule, Compensation & Benefits
· Status: Part-time (0.50 – 1.0 FTE)
· Typical Schedule: [Monday – Friday 8-5
· Location: Andrews, NC
· Pay Range: commensurate with experience in CSBG
